High Crag and Haystacks

At last! Today was the day that I returned to the Lake District Fells after an absence of about 5 weeks due to the weather and pressure of work. The forecast looked promising for one of those bright but cold winter's days but as I headed west on the A66 low cloud could be seen hanging of the the high tops.  still, I pressed on and after an unplanned business call I headed towards Buttermere. Thankfully by this time the cloud was breaking and the sun made an appearance. It turned out that we had a great walk over High Crag and Haystacks, so bailey has now completed his first two Wainwright Fells, only another 212 to go!
